On the occasion of the European Heritage Days, the Musée of Mariana and the Urban Sketchers Bastia invite you to take part in a unique artistic and cultural experience on September 20th and 21st, 2025. A visual immersion into the act of drawing and the personal interpretation of heritage, to be explored throughout the weekend.
It’s the perfect time to visit the museum and enjoy the final days of the exhibition: “Sur le motif – Mariana et alentours en 100 dessins.”
This exhibition showcases around one hundred drawings created on-site, inspired by the museum’s collections and surrounding landscapes.

Saturday, September 20th

From 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., the Urban Sketchers Bastia will take over the museum and archaeological site with their sketchbooks and pencils. Join them to draw alongside, share techniques, and cast your gaze on this historic place.
From 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., don’t miss a conversation on archaeological drawing with Ophélie de Peretti, archaeologist and director of the Musée de Mariana, and Anne Papalia, artist. Together, they will share their perspectives, between scientific rigor and artistic sensitivity.

Sunday, September 21st

From 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., the Urban Sketchers Bastia return to sketch heritage with freshness and spontaneity. Join one of these free drawing sessions at the museum.
