Conference on Saint Devota

During the Canonica Fiera, xe are delighted to invite you on Sunday, May, 24 at 4:00 p.m., free admission, for a conference on “Around the Cult of Saint Devota, from its Origins to the Present Day, from Lucciana to Monaco”, by Jacques Pastor, deputy mayor of Monaco and Stéphane Orsini, heritage facilitator.

In partnership with FAGEC (Federation of Associations and Groups for Corsican Studies) and the Municipality of Monaco

Let yourself be carried along with Saint Devota and follow her historical, mythical, and liturgical journey from the Middle Ages to the present day, from Lucciana to Monaco. Two distinguished speakers shed light on the life and martyrdom of Saint Devota. How a saint born and martyred in Lucciana became one of the protectors of Corsica and of the Grimaldi Principality. From history to legend, a cultural journey at the heart of Corsican and Monegasque life, permanently linking these communities.
