Laurent Caporossi, Doctor of Medicine, presents his work « U sgiò duttore, cinquant’annu di vita prufesiunale in Corsica ».

Through this account and personal experience, 50 years of Corsican society are perceived and narrated. The family doctor entered households and witnessed both the hardships and strengths of these rural families, which were not spared from the major societal changes coming from the mainland and gradually spreading throughout the island from the 1980s to the 2010s.

The speaker proposes a discussion on the evolution of the role of the general practitioner in the service of public health.
