Earthen architecture in Corsica: yesterday, today, tomorrow 

Millennia-old and having contributed to remarkable monumental architectures still preserved today—some even listed as UNESCO World Heritage—earth construction nevertheless suffers from many prejudices. 

It is said to be not solid, reserved for desert climates, and above all, that it was never used on our island. 

This temporary exhibition juxtaposes earthen architecture in prehistoric and ancient Corsica with recent or ongoing projects where earth shapes bold and sustainable architectures firmly oriented towards the future! 

Exhibition organized by the Corsican Council of Architects and the Mariana Museum  with the participation of LRA-Corse, Inrap, and the Collectivity of Corsica
